The purpose of this project was to empower Hispanic women to identify domestic violence and deepen their self-identity in Christ. A select group of women from the church Iglesia Bautista Comunidad de la Cruz in Indio, California, received training through a process of eight weeks that included defining domestic violence/abuse, biblical teachings about abusers and victims, resources, and how to establish and facilitate a support group ministry to abused women in the local church. The result of this training is a support group that helped the women become confident in themselves and actively involved in the local church.
