In Virtual Reality (VR), immersion is created by the simultaneous interaction between visual elements, audio, and haptic. This is due to the head tracking system that is implemented into the VR head mounted display (HMD) that allows the environment that the user sees to dynamically change with respect to the orientation of the user's head. In game design, innovative and unique mechanics push the boundaries of the medium and lead to genre defining games. However, if VR is known for immersion, would taking away one of its key elements still produce an immersive VR experience? This project aims to answer this question with a single player, narrative VR game that utilizes solely audio and haptic to immerse the players in the virtual world.
