Despite a long history within the Army Recruiting Command leadership, the authoritarian leadership style has impacted soldiers 'inability to adapt and overcome stressful recruiting duties. The top, middle, and lower managers' authoritarian leadership style in the Army Recruiting Command has influenced leadership. Therefore, it has impacted soldiers' ability to adapt to the stressful recruiting environment for decades. There is a paucity of research concerning transformational leadership and change agent behavior among Army Recruiting Command leadership. Leadership researchers would benefit from renewed notice in studying why soldiers embrace transformational leaders. The nature of transformational and change agent behavior character, how transformational leadership values develop, and how it is measured will be explored. This study will evaluate the Army Recruiting Command leadership, specifically, change agent behavior, elements that make it more prone, its significance for soldiers, and the moderators of its effects. This research will inform the readers on the relationship between transformational leadership and change agent behavior, provide an overview of leaders' behavior, and how changes can improve the Army Recruiting Command's top, middle, and lower managers' leadership. The implications for social change include informing the scholarly community and policymakers of more evidence-based research for using transformational leadership and change agent behavior in the Army Recruiting Command.
