This Manuscript of Apocalyptic Poems with Critical Introduction on a Tradition of Apocalyptic Poetry is a collection of contemporary poetry that explores the theme of proverbial and literal end times using a variety of poetic techniques. It is prefaced with a critical introduction that considers the poetics that informed the production of these poems along with how the poems respond to a long tradition of apocalyptic poetry that extends from some of the oldest extant written literature to poetry of the early 2020s. The introduction also reflects on what poems and poets in this tradition have in common and how the eschatological expressions in poetry evolve across historical movements and trends.
