At present, it is not easy for our laboratory to use a Michelson interferometer-based spectrometer (Bruker IFS 66v/S) to measure spectrum in the terahertz range at room temperature. We use the polarization properties of light to build a spectrometer utilizing Martin-Puplett interferometer. The spectrometer employs a wire grid polarizer for light splitting, a room temperature pyroelectric detector, and a mercury lamp as light source, allowing a measurable frequency range of 0.6 ~ 2.1 Thz (20~70\uD835\uDC50\uD835\uDC5A−1) in air and in vacuum.Finally, we use the spectrometer to measure the transmission spectra of high density polyethylene and Fe-doped indium phosphide the samples and compare the results with the literature to verify the performance.

鑑於目前實驗室欲在常溫下使用邁克生式干涉光譜儀(Bruker IFS 66v/S)量測 兆赫波頻段元件之穿透特性,並不容易。因此我們建立一套利用光學偏振特性分 光的 Martin-Puplett 干涉光譜儀,使用金屬線柵作為分光元件,常溫操作的焦熱電 偵測器與搭配汞燈作為光源,可在常壓與真空度一毫巴的環境下量測頻率介於 0.6~2.1 Thz (20~70\uD835\uDC50\uD835\uDC5A−1 )的兆赫波段之頻譜。並且使用此光譜儀系統量測高密度 聚乙烯與摻雜鐵的磷化銦穿透率頻譜,將結果與文獻比對,驗證此 Martin-Puplett 光譜儀之正確性。.
