This book gathers proceedings of the 18th World Conference on Seismic Isolation (18WCSI), held in Antalya, Türkiye on November 6-10, 2023. Organized by the Turkish Association for Seismic Isolation (TASI) and endorsed by the Anti-Seismic Systems International Society (ASSISi), the conference discussed state-of-the-art information, as well as emerging concepts and innovative applications related to seismic isolation, energy dissipation, and active vibration control of structures, and resilience and sustainability. The volume covers highly diverse topics centered around energy dissipation devices. Chapters have been dedicated to the design and testing of energy dissipation devices, and the use of these devices in the design of structures, and retrofit of existing structures and cultural heritage. The contributions, which are published after a rigorous international peer-review process, highlight numerous exciting ideas that will spur novel research directions and foster multidisciplinary collaboration among different specialists.
