This doctorate of ministry project report explains the project director's creation of a Christ-centered, expository resource on John chapters 2-4. The project director researched both the field of expository preaching and Christ-centered interpretation and applied principles learned to an in-depth study of one unit of the Gospel of John. The study of the Gospel of John led the project director to develop eleven sermon guides for use in training preachers in Christ-centered exposition. Each sermon guide includes a title, text of Scripture, sermon theme, key interpretive thoughts, suggested application and Christ-centered emphasis. An expert in expository preaching and an expert in Christ-centered interpretation evaluated the sermon guides and suggested improvements. The project director evaluated their feedback and implemented many of their suggestions in the final Christ-centered, expositional resource. The final resource provides preachers and teachers a tool to assist them in the formation of Christ-centered, expository sermons.
