A case study design, using semistructured interviews, was used to answer the following research question that guided this study: "What do Asian American millennials identify as desired leadership practices that create higher engagement levels in the workplace?" The researcher used a random sampling approach to interview 10 Asian American millennials in Southern California. Participants responded to seven open-ended questions.For this study, the participants answered interview questions to identify Asian American millennials' desired leadership practices that create higher engagement levels in the workplace. Data were reorganized based on themes that emerged from the interview responses to each question. Five themes surfaced during the interviews. The themes included (a) Asian American millennial employees find supportive leaders motivating, (b) Asian American millennials find close-working relationships create a comfortable setting, (c) Asian American millennials considered being taken advantage of at work as a model minority stereotype, (d) Asian American millennials prefer leaders who are able to have open communications with their employees, and (e) Asian American millennials prefer leaders who are caring.
