This research mainly explored the methods and techniques of arousing empathy between players and customer service personnel in service simulation games. It also evaluated the effect of the empathy experience of players that the game arouses. The methodology used in this study is a quantitative method based on a survey. By designing and developing a simulation game with a customer service staff as the protagonist, recruiting participants to play the game, and filling in the survey after their play, I collected the results that indicated players' perceptions and feelings about customer service staff experience and empathy experience. The results showed that the game could successfully shape the experience of the customer service staff for the player and arouse the player's empathy for the protagonist. The results of this research could be used as a guide for customer service simulation game design methods and techniques, and also provide game designers with a series of techniques and methods reference to induce empathy in games.
