During times of economic downturn, some of the most affected communities are those that provide our food-farmers. Farmers and their families are susceptible to mental health issues and are unwilling to seek professional help due to the stigma that surrounds it. This dissertation raises awareness through education and provides resources for farm families within their local communities to break the barriers that mental health poses within the local communities by utilizing members of those communities. This is done through the development of a training curriculum for Farmer to Farmer Workshops and presented in a 2-workshop format by introducing research and training guides. These workshops are for interested parties who wish to better serve farmers by highlighting unique mental health challenges within the community. The intent is to increase participants' ability to identify mental health issues, provide confidence in their ability to help farmers or farm families, and to utilize the available resources within their community. Topics also include suggestions for future research, development, and adaptations to the provided training curriculum.
