Knowledge transfer bespeaks the knowledge trading process amid distinct players where the obtained processed facts are handled in various forms. Yet, knowledge transfer is an active behavior, it is not an isolated event. Knowledge transfer is a complex operation consisting of untold sub-operations, counting helpful knowledge spotting; handling outwardly created knowledge reception; handling, grasping, and intake from outside knowledge, and intermingling of recent knowledge and formerly occurring knowledge. This study posits a framework to measure, absorptive capacity, communication, technology, transfer intention, and trust as determinants of knowledge transfer behavior in university-to-industry (U-I) collaborations. The model evaluation was conducted using partial least squares structural equation modeling PLS-SEM. Technology and trust positively impact transfer intention, communication has a positive effect on absorptive capacity while transfer intention positively impacts both communication and knowledge transfer behavior in U-I collaborations. The key findings inform about the importance of the transfer intention to further knowledge transfer behaviors in U-I collaborations. This research project provides valuable quantitative insights into the literature about knowledge transfer behavior while further developing applications of the matter to the knowledge creation theory, the theory of planned behavior, the extension from the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology, and the model of organizational trust.
