This qualitative study explored Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)-a set of communication techniques and strategies designed for learning, personal change, and rapport building-as a potential solution to address workplace disengagement problems stemming from leadership behaviors. The study explored NLP concepts leaders might apply to improve employee engagement by interviewing 19 certified NLP practitioners, located in the Southwestern United States. The central research question examining this NLP phenomenon was as follows: Based on the expert knowledge of NLP practitioners, what are the NLP concepts that can help leaders improve employee engagement in the Southwestern United States? The data results produced four main categories: (1) having an impact on organization engagement goals, (2) using NLP as a leadership training tool, (3) producing engagement with NLP, and (4) adding questions for collective data presentation. These four categories represent approaches leaders can use to bring positive change. The study's findings concluded that NLP could serve as a useful organizational training tool for leaders to improve employee engagement. The resulting theory identified that NLP offers a variety of concepts leaders might apply to overcome organizational challenges with tailored solutions to produce positive impacts on employee engagement.
