The purpose of this design is to build a space that can share the common memory of the community from the perspective of memory and emotion.. In today's consumerist society, the relationship between people and objects shifts from constant possession to forgetting, resulting in the gradual accumulation of a significant number of abandoned objects that are no longer in use, consuming community living space and generating a mountain of garbage and pollution. This project is an underground thrift market situated in the neighborhood, offering a platform for residents to recycle their unwanted items. At the same time, this space transforms into a place for residents to exchange and experience their memories and emotions while promoting the circulation of items. Each exchange of unwanted items is accompanied by a transfer of personal memories in the community, which will also evoke the collective memory of the residents in the community. It will also invoke the collective memory of the community's residents. The target group of the project consists of people in the community who own or require unused products. Residents who own unused items will recycle them into secondhand goods through exhibits and auctions and distribute them to people in need in the neighborhood.Following a preliminary study of several examples and precedents, I choose the project's placement below ground, which is an attempt to merge the historic structure with the underground space, providing some mystery and curiosity to the space in terms of location. Considering the influence of the buildup of unneeded objects on the community, the underground placement of the site mirrors the objective of lowering the amount of space utilized by the community. The project intends to evoke the collective memory of the community through the transfer of second-hand objects that hold personal experiences, and to maximize the use of the products to reduce waste while also promoting a sustainable lifestyle of circular economy and waste reuse in the community through a new second-hand transaction model in an era of rapid consumption.
