The Performance Diagnostic Checklist (PDC; Austin, 2000) is an informant-based behavior assessment that can be completed in workplace organizations to prescribe interventions aimed at improving employee performance. Carr et al. (2013) created the Performance Diagnostic Checklist Human-Services (PDC-HS), a revision to the PDC, to involve performance problems that may pertain to work in human-service industries. The present study evaluated manager implementation of PDC-HS prescribed interventions and their effects on employee productivity and on generalization to second, non-targeted task. Employee job satisfaction was evaluated pre- and post-intervention for both managers and their employees to determine if interventions designed to improve productivity had effects on employee satisfaction. Managers were successfully trained to implement the PDC-HS and to implement a prescribed intervention of their choice. Results showed that productivity and overall job satisfaction improved after a PDCHS prescribed intervention. In addition, both managers and employees indicated that the methods used were socially valid.
