Natural disasters cause a large number of displaced people every year. For displaced people who lose their homes, possessions, family, and friends, the places they can seek rest should be temporary shelters. However, the existing problems of temporary shelters cannot guarantee displaced people's physical and mental health. This paper analyzes real-life cases and literature to find the issues in temporary shelters nowadays. This paper explores the needs of displaced people in shelters from four aspects: safety, health, comfort, and privacy. It also explores furniture and equipment needs for temporary shelters in terms of production, storage, transportation, and installation. The core of this paper is to design suitable products for temporary shelters, improve the problems in shelters, and provide safety, privacy, and relaxation for displaced people in a temporary shelter living environment. Solving people's physical and psychological exhaustion in temporary shelters allows them to get better rest.
