The advancement in technology in various sectors has contributed to significant changes aimed at obtaining positive outcomes. One of the most advancements that have been witnessed in different sectors is the application of technological devices such as smartphones, tablets, iPods, computers, among many others. The use of these technological devices has proved to improve the outcome of the initially done activities through traditional methods. The use of computers, specifically tablet PCs, has been one of the advancements in the learning sector. This study focuses on using tablet PCs as one of the technological tools in teaching developmental mathematics. Modern teaching methods require the incorporation of modern technologies to help achieve the set objectives in specific learning disciplines. Using tablet-based delivery methods is one of the most advanced methods of teaching in higher levels of learning. This study's primary purpose was to explore the attitudes and perceptions of faculty on students utilizing tablet-based delivery methodologies in learning developmental mathematics in undergraduate classes in Miami-Dade County, Florida. This study's primary purpose was to explore the attitudes and perceptions of faculty on students utilizing tablet-based delivery methodologies in learning developmental mathematics in undergraduate classes in Miami-Dade County, Florida. This study used a descriptive research design. The qualitative study explored the lived experiences and perceptions of faculty. The study's target population was faculty teaching developmental mathematics in Miami, Florida. The qualitative study used a purposive sampling method to obtain a sample size of ten faculty members. The data collection method utilized by this qualitative study was the use of interviews and questionnaires. These were reliable data collection methods that allowed the study to obtain data from faculty. The findings from the collected data indicated that tablet-based delivery methodologies are the most reliable when used to teach developmental mathematics. Further, research findings from the qualitative study showed that faculty had positive attitudes and perceptions towards the use of tablet-based delivery methods in teaching developmental mathematics. The research recommended further studies to focus on other technological tools apart from tablet-based delivery methodologies that may be helpful in learning. The study also suggested future studies to focus on using tablet-based delivery methodologies in teaching other disciplines apart from developmental mathematics. This qualitative study recommended the implementation of tablet-based delivery methodologies in teaching developmental mathematics.
