This essay performs a two-fold intervention in scholarly discourse on Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. Firstly, it utilizes Susan Stryker's theory of Homonormativity and Grace Lavery's egg theory to query the extent to which certain works of scholarship of elided the trans- possibilities inherent in Twelfth Night. I subsequently turn to the text of Twelfth Night and, via an engagement with Early Modern Trans Studies, particularly the recent scholarship produced by Abdulhamit Arvas, argue that the eunuch is an of early modern form trans- embodiment. Finally, I turn my attention to the liminal desires and dramatization of sex within the text itself concluding with an analysis of the play's ending.
