The purpose of this research study was to investigate students' experiences and teaching strategies that could help students to develop greater creativity in design schools. To bring up a wholesome student in a classroom environment, it is necessary to incorporate creative learning elements into the education curriculum. Creative learning elements serve to improve the quality of the learning process by making it more captivating and interactive. This research was conducted in the qualitative research paradigm and phenomenology was the preferred approach, and the specific research methodology chosen was Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). The interview results on the teaching methods and practices of five design school experts were presented. There were many key themes that emerged from the data in relation to the primary study issue. Creativity, instructional methods and practices that encourage creative capabilities, foundational knowledge and student engagement applicability were some of the topics. The findings will help to accommodate additional opportunities for the development and application of creative techniques in Hong Kong design schools. Teachers and educators should benefit from being trained before entering a classroom in order to monitor and assess creativity in design education. Creativity can help to boost mindset growth in schools and society. As a result, creativity training should be made essential in all schools because it serves as the foundation for all we do or learn.
