Organizations have tried to develop performance improvement plans for leaders and the frequent changing of methods creates an overwhelming, unorganized process. For an organization to succeed, it must develop its leaders and continuously improve and enhance their development. In order to become more effective, a leader must understand their strengths and weaknesses. To do this, a leader must receive feedback on their performance, typically done in a performance review. These reviews can be formal or informal. Adopting one review can provide consistency and appropriate feedback for a leader to learn and grow; a 360-degree Feedback Assessment will provide this feedback. This paper describes the pros and cons of a 360-degree feedback assessment, along with providing the appropriate guidance to support effective tools for leaders and the organization.
