This paper identifies key factors that affect Black entrepreneur's long-term business success, reviews current barriers, and proposes potential solutions. To run a successful and thriving business, entrepreneurs need sufficient access to financial, human, and social capital. Black entrepreneurs frequently face barriers to accessing these critical sources. Financial institutions, government entities, educational institutions, for-profits, and non-profits are essential to creating a more supportive and inclusive eco-system for the Black entrepreneur. To make long-term sustainable and equitable change, these entities will need to commit to change by developing new programs, co-partnerships, and initiatives in tandem with Black entrepreneurs to create a more equitable and inclusive economic future.
