The goal of this thesis was to compare power outcome tests comparing a six week periodized bilateral and unilateral sagittal plane plyometric exercises on college-aged powerlifters. This project had eight participants complete a six-week supplemental max effort plyometric program with one group training unilateral plyometric exercises and the other group training bilateral plyometric exercises. The tests used were the isometric mid-thigh pull, vertical jump height, vertical jump rate of force development, and 20-meter sprint. The participants also completed a six-week journal of their rate of perceived exhaustion on each training day. This study concluded that the bilateral group improved the most on the 20meter sprint, and the unilateral group increased their bilateral force development. This study also concluded that the introduction of a new exercise increased each participant's level of exhaustion with a decline in exhaustion in the following weeks.
