A single-case design with multiple baselines was used to evaluate repeated readings with the use of a computer-based program, One Minute Reader, to increase reading fluency. Three participants were observed over a ten-week study. The repeated reading intervention using the One Minute Reader was introduced to each participant at a different time, allowing the researcher to compare response to the intervention at three different points in time. Once introduced, each student used the program for 15-20 minutes every school day. Participants were progress monitored weekly using easyCBM Passage Reading Fluency. Visual analysis showed growth in reading fluency for the first three weeks after implementation of the program for each participant. Percentage of Nonoverlapping Data (PND) and visual analysis were also used to calculate the effectiveness of the intervention for each participant. The results of these analyses indicate that the One Minute Reader was not effective for every student. Overall, this study did not definitively show that OMR is an effective way to give students repeated reading instruction and practice to increase reading fluency.
