This study is in exploration of the spiritual formation including religious practice and spiritual identities, as it intersects with cultural backgrounds of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning (LGBTQ) community. The intended purpose of the study is to bridge the gap in understanding and identifying the differences of religious practices within the LGBTQ community. It also explores spiritual identity and how culture impacts the multi-layered conjoining of identities and experiences. The study hopes to understand the meaning of what it means to be religious or spiritual in the LGBTQ community. It will gain insight on the correlation of spiritual identities and religious practices in relationship to racial identities and cultural backgrounds within the LGBTQ community.
