Unmanaged anxiety contributes to the development of mental health problems affecting self-concept, daily outlook on life, and behavior. A review of the literature indicated that anxiety is prevalent in adolescents and ultimately affects personal life and academic success. There is a lack of effective treatments in schools and greater attention and effort need to be devoted to interventions to treat adolescent anxiety. The proposal of a 14-week program integrating CBT psychoeducation and yoga was designed to reduce anxiety and to build emotional resilience for high school students. With this program, students will learn more about the effects of their own anxiety, develop tools to gain control over their symptoms, and improve their mental health in school and in their personal life. The group structure and details were discussed, as well as the limitations and implications for future research.
