The intention behind this examination of feminism within the arts and the exclusion of the male voice is to bring forth a unity between the genders in order to bridge the gaps prevalent within the cause. Through the examination of feminism and some of its key advocates within the arts as well as the issues that have led to the decline in progress, it becomes clear that change needs to be made. With the guidance of Lawrence Alloway and the inclusion of the male voice, it may be possible to achieve the equality between the genders that we have been fighting for, but it starts with accepting the equal rights that men have in contributing to this conversation.
