In this particular study, the Researcher found there was very little difference between athletes and non-athletes in GPA, class rank, attendance rate and ACT score. The Researcher also found no significant difference between males and females in the areas of GPA, class rank, attendance rate and ACT score. Although the Researcher's data was very telling of how students perform academically, there will be many more studies conducted in different regions of the country. Some will have the same findings, while others are sure to find something quite different. Either way, this quantitative data can be very interesting to compare and examine in a variety of ways.
