This multiple case study examined how Early Childhood (EC) pre-service teacher candidates identified a perceived passion to go into the field of EC education and the influence of passion in making instructional decisions in teaching. The findings from this study can be utilized to students in recognizing how passion may be an influencing factor in their decision to enter the field of early childhood education, as well as the instructional decisions made as a teacher once they enter the classroom.
