A Healing Space explores multiple methods of transforming learning environments and a personal journey in discovering the most effective and transformative methods for a dance classroom. The initial research was inspired by experiences with a defeated student population within a dance studio and is comprised of an investigation addressing modes of positive change within the classroom. The project combines research, personal field observations, and movement performances to discover the most effective modes available to be implemented in the interest of a healthy transformation of students.
