The purpose of the quantitative nonexperimental research study was to determine if mentoring functions (career support, psychosocial support, and role modeling) influenced the career advancement of women in the sales and marketing industry. The study consisted of 120 women who held the professional title of manager or above and participated in a mentoring relationship in the sales and marketing industry. The Mentoring Functions Questionaire-9 and Career Satisfaction Measure questionnaires were used to measure the variables, and the data were analyzed and computed using multiple linear regression and SPSS. The results of the study indicated that career support and role modeling had a positive influence on the career advancement of women in the sales and marketing industry. Based on those results, mentors should place more emphasis on providing additional career support and role modeling functions to increase the mentee's chances for career advancement.
