The purpose of this study was to research effective leadership in a multi-generational corporate environment. A narrative interview protocol was utilized to gather information from 20 leaders from a corporate organization in the southern United States region. While literary research showed an importance of recognizing needs and wants of differing generations within an organization, the organizational sample operated on connectivity from leader to follower not based on generational breakdown, but one of individuality. Extending generational education to leadership while also retaining a heritage of individuality within the organization could improve generational obstacles that may occur.
