The purpose of this systematic literature review was to examine and analyze the current school violence prevention programs currently being utilized in middle to secondary schools. This project examined available research articles which focused on research-based articles highlighting the impact of some school violence prevention programs on the reported school violence incident rates on campus. The goal of this project was to provide research outcomes that are available for use by current practitioners in the field of school violence prevention. The research outcomes from this project illustrate best practice attributes in school violence prevention programs and potential areas for future research as well as potential venues to improve or adjust violence prevention programs in middle and secondary schools. This project was necessary to assess the content of current school violence prevention programs in middle and secondary schools. This project illustrated the findings in the area of best practice approaches for school violence prevention programs at the middle and high school levels.
