Confusion and controversy have kept Revelation at arm's length for many preachers. Taking into consideration the confusion and controversy surrounding Revelation, this project sought to answer this question: Can one equip preachers to preach Revelation confidently and faithfully? The educational strategy of this project stands on three pillars: humility, hermeneutics, and homiletics. When preachers approach Revelation with humility, abandoning their own traditions, honoring the text, and treating other perspectives with love and respect, preaching Revelation will prove rewarding and relevant. When the hermeneutics of Revelation are understood, what once was confusing will be clarified. Before considering homiletics, one must assume the correct posture of humility and the correct hermeneutical principles for understanding. Preaching confidently and faithfully requires all three pillars in the proper sequence.Three recommendations were given in the project that galvanize the hermeneutic approach for preaching Revelation advocated in this study. First, the details of the text matter and should not be arbitrarily ignored to suit one's tradition. Second, preachers must grasp the theology of Revelation. Third, preachers must not lose the forest for the trees in Revelation.The project utilizes two study workshops to gather results on one's confidence for preaching Revelation. After looking carefully at the pillars of humility, hermeneutics, and homiletics, the project presents survey results from the two workshops. These results show significant growth in confidence as well as a need to gauge apocalyptic questions from local congregations.The project includes example sermons, sermon series plans, a list of good resources, and a chapter-by-chapter analysis of Revelation, including exegetical statements, preaching statements, theological statements, and preaching pointers.
