The purpose of this research was to examine the relationship between leader's leadership style and follower job satisfaction using the Full Range Leadership Theory (Avolio & Bass, 2004) and the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (Weiss, Davis, England, and Lafquest, 1967) as the research instruments. The participants in this nonexperimental research study completed an online survey designed to obtain participants' demographic data, the participant's perception of their supervisors' leadership style, and the participant's job satisfaction level. The study concluded that a transformational leadership style is correlated with an employee's job satisfaction. A transformational leadership style was the strongest predictor of employee intrinsic, extrinsic, and general job satisfaction. Gender predicted job satisfaction and a significant difference in job satisfaction level was found with males having higher levels of job satisfaction than females.
