One in every 3 couples report prolonged dissatisfaction (Bodenmann, Hilpert, Nussbeck, & Bradbury, 2014). Couples who experience relationship dissatisfaction may struggle with knowing when to seek help, and help may not be pursued until the relationship is on the brink of cessation. Among many other influences, how well couples are able to cope with and adapt to stressful events determines the quality and/or satisfaction of the relationship (Cutrona, Russell, Burzette, Wesner, & Bryant, 2011). Therefore, relationship satisfaction is important in decreasing the likelihood of relationship termination and promoting individual mental health. The goal of this dissertation is to assist couples in the enhancement and maintenance of relationship satisfaction. To address the many complexities couples face, a self-help website was designed to provide psychoeducational resources based on Couple Relationship Education (CRE). The website is specifically for couples who want to increase their knowledge of relationship satisfaction and how to maintain it. It is hoped through the use of this website, couples will be provided with beneficial information that can strengthen their relationships and help them make an informed decision on whether to seek therapy. The website's usefulness was reviewed by qualified experts based on education and licensure, years of experience, and knowledge in fields related to this study. Experts acknowledged the website's usefulness and potential to enhance couples' relationships.
