什麼是藝術? 二十世紀達達主義的代表人物杜象主張「一切皆是藝術」, 他把商店買來的小便斗加上簽名, 名為<<噴泉>>放到美術館展覽。他將名畫<<蒙娜麗莎的微笑>>加上兩撇鬍鬚之後, 顛覆了美學標準。杜象不斷顛覆造反、打破藝術的規範和形式, 讓後世的藝術家毫無包袱, 跨界啟發了安迪沃荷、約翰凱吉、小野洋子, 甚至是大衛鮑伊。本片聚焦費城藝術博物館及耶魯大學美術館等珍藏的杜象作品, 透過如<<大玻璃>>, 投射超越身體和現實的四維空間, 提倡以不同的角度去感受藝術品。還有當代藝術名家傑夫昆斯、鬼才導演米歇爾・龔特利以及行為藝術教母瑪莉娜都為本片現身說法, 細說杜象如何反藝術至上。
