Love and trade war
China and the U.S. in historical context /[electronic resource] :by Li Sheng, Dmitri Felix do Nascimento. - Singapore :Springer Singapore :2021. - xiii, 181 p. :ill., digital ;24 cm.
Chapter 1: A Brief History of Trade Wars -- Chapter 2: On Sino-US Trade Wars: A Dialectical Consideration -- Chapter 3: Geopolitics in the Trade War -- Chapter 4: The G-2 (US-China) -- Chapter 5: Conclusion.
This book puts the trade war between the United States and China in historical context. Exploring the dynamics of isolation and internal reform from a Chinese perspective, the author draws upon valuable insights from China's years of isolation prior to the famous Nixon-Mao summit. Advocating internal reform as a more productive strategy than conflict with other powers, this powerful argument for globalization with Chinese characteristics will be of interest to scholars of China, economists, and political scientists. Li Sheng received his PhD from the University of Freiburg, Germany. He is currently a professor of political economy and public policy at the University of Macau. He has published over 40 research papers in SSCI journals, mainly focusing on urban and international political economy. His services include Associate Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences, Senate Member and Director of Russian Center, University of Macau, China. Dmitri Felix do Nascimento is a researcher from the Northeast of Brazil. He is a Post-doctoral Fellow at the University of Macau, China. PHD in Political Science/International Relations in ICS-University of Lisbon/Portugal. He studied Russian language in the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia. He wrote the book, 'The Brazilian Foreign Policy in BRICS: between political autonomy and economic dependence' (In Portuguese)
