This document is comprised of two parts. The first section illustrates the thesis and the supporting research behind it. The thesis studies how visitors of art museums can make meaning for themselves through interaction, actively seeking and retrieving information based on their own interests, and in this way break for them the stereotype of a passive experience inside art museums. The purpose of this investigation is to be implemented in an exhibition. The second section of this document details the design of the exhibition named: "Fear of Missing Out," in which the thesis research will be applied. This exhibition will be held at The Met Breuer, the museum annex of modern and contemporary art of The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
