This study explored leadership practices of presidents of institutions of Christian higher education in Myanmar and their vision for community engagement through their curriculum. This study sought to answer four main research questions: (a) What are the leadership practices of presidents in leading their institutions in Myanmar for the improvement of their institutions and communities? (b) What kind(s) of curriculum (curricula) should Christian higher education institutions in Myanmar have for the betterment of communities? (c) What are the leadership practices of presidents of Christian higher education institutions in Myanmar that lead their students to be engaged in the community? (d) How does the vision of presidents of Christian higher education institutions in Myanmar contribute to the advancement of their institutions and the church and/or community? This qualitative study used a grounded theory approach. The sample for this study consisted of twenty-five purposefully selected presidents of Christian higher education institutions in Myanmar for the interview. In addition, fifty community leaders from different locations of institutions, where their presidents were interviewed were purposefully selected for five focus group Interviews. Data were analyzed by using NVivo 11. The analysis yielded seven themes. In regards to the leadership practices and the vision of presidents, three themes: academic leadership, roles of presidents and a God-given vision were discussed. Related to curriculum of Christian higher education, two themes: holistic education curriculum and mission-oriented curriculum were identified. In response to the work of community engagement, two themes: important resources and field education were discoursed. In light of the findings, implications and suggestions for the educational ministry were considered, specifically, for current and future presidents of Christian higher education institutions. Suggestions for presidents include: creating an inclusive spirit on the campus, making preparations to handle the challenges, improving leadership skills, transforming a God-given vision into reality, nurturing the relationship with God, staying connected with the work of the church, leading the curriculum committee, finding important resources for their institutions to be engaged in the community and promoting field education programs.
