This study examined the relationship of yoga and personality factors, depression, anxiety, and stress using quantitative methodology. This study utilized a demographics questionnaire, The Ten-Item Personality Inventory, The Depression Anxiety Stress Scales, and The International Physical Activity Questionnaire Short Form. Researchers in India have found evidence that yoga is related to personality factors, such as awareness, concentration, will-power, energy level, self-esteem, and productivity. However, outside of India, yoga and personality have not been well researched, despite yoga being a part of our zeitgeist. This study hoped to contribute to the literature and explore the relationship of yoga and personality factors. The results from this study indicate that yoga is related to higher scores on the OpennessOpenness to Experience Scale. The study also aimed at furthering research regarding yoga's correlation with depression and anxiety. The results were insignificant regarding the relationship between yoga and depression and anxiety symptoms. There was a significant interaction between those who do yoga and those who use physical exercise alone, as both variables had significant main effects on Agreeableness.. Additionally, it is suggested that income has an impact on mental health and personality. The results of this study imply that those who engage in yoga are higher in OpennessOpenness to Experience, and clinicians should be aware of the therapeutic implications regarding yoga as an additional intervention.
