This correlational study presents research on generational leadership and examines styles and preferences among the Millennial generation. Focusing on transformational and transactional leadership behaviors, the researcher sought to determine whether Millennials would prefer transformational and transactional leadership behaviors other transformational and transactional behaviors. Going further, the researcher also examined whether some transformational and transactional behaviors will be preferred by Millennials more than other generations. This study seeks to identify which leadership behaviors are most effective as the cultures in the workplace continue to shift with the Millennial generation.
