This document is composed of two parts. The first section is the thesis "Conversation in exhibit settings makes a stronger connection between the visitors and exhibit contents," which explores how face-to-face conversation can create a meaningful experience between visitors. It also gives visitors an opportunity to have co-experiences with other visitors who are from different backgrounds. This thesis investigates how face-to-face conversation theory can be applied in exhibition environments to make the audience feel more connected to the subject by sharing personal stories and knowledge related to it, forming a stronger connection between the visitor, the exhibition content, and each other.

520 $a The second section of this document details a design concept for the Journey Through Colors exhibition, which is a temporary exhibition about colors. This topic will be presented into two different perspectives: science and psychology. The exhibition will be held at the American Museum of Natural History. The exhibition will provide visitors with customized 360 degree activities so the international visitors and children can understand complex content without having to read text. The lighting and graphics will be used as a visual cue to show visitors how each key activity works. There will be social objects as well as pre-arranged social activities throughout the entire exhibit.
