This phenomenological study investigated the phenomenon of non-traditional Haudenosaunee Native American's incorporating or reincorporating into traditional Haudenosaunee culture. This is a qualitative study that explored the phenomenon with a group of individuals who have all experienced the incorporation or reincorporation process into this culture in their own way and for their own reasons. The researcher will collect data by interviewing individuals who have experienced the phenomenon and are willing to discuss their experience. This study used an open-ended face-to-face interview method to collect data and understand these individual's experiences throughout their incorporation or reincorporation process. These interviews will be recorded and transcribed. Next, the data will be analyzed and coded to find common themes that emerge from the participant interviews. Finally, the results will be reported.
