Thesis (M.S.)--Utica College, 2017.
The purpose of this capstone project was to research the increase of Cybersecurity threats that have been introduced by the implementation of various technologies in the food and agriculture (FA) sector of the United States. This research was performed by examining the increasing attack surfaces that exist in the FA sector and naming the potentially devastating impacts that a cyber-attack could pose through the evaluation of relevant books, news articles and other publications. Additionally, the research presented was designed to show the increasing criticality and reliance on technology in the FA sector to feed a growing world population efficiently. The information exhibited in this capstone is for high-level context setting for stakeholders in the FA sector and can be used as a starting point to better understand issues that FA industries face today and will face in the future.
