Chapter One reviews the current states of the discipleship making process as practiced in the Chinese churches environment. It outlines the strength and the problems of the present approach and details the proposal of this research. In addition, it examines the theological framework of the proposal which serves as the foundation of the project.

Chapter Two surveys a collection of related literature and works of the various subjects related to this research. Specifically, it examines literature related to discipleship, spiritual formation, as well as the rationale of focusing the work on Chinese students. In addition, it presents the work of individuals who represent a different view for the subject of consideration.

Chapter Three presents the methodology of the current project. It provides detailed descriptions of the two groups of participants in this project. It briefly describes the curriculum which of thirteen sessions covering multiple topics of spiritual formation. Finally, it discusses the two instruments, the SWB and LWSGA survey tools, and additionally, a qualitative interview, to be used to evaluate the results of the research project.

Chapter Four presents the result of the project. It summarizes the scores as reflected by the two instruments discussed in the previous chapter. These results are analyzed with the help of statistical tools. In addition, the result of the qualitative survey is also summarized. Major themes are extracted and presented.

Chapter Five sketches the implication of the project. It compares the original hypothesis with the results as presented in chapter 4. It summarizes major lessons learned and how they would be applied to future discipleship making efforts.
