This production thesis explores how therapists approach the process of becoming a therapist. It reviews the effort and importance of psychotherapists doing their own psychotherapeutic work and how this affects their work as they become therapists. This thesis utilizes an artistic-creative methodology incorporating the techniques of active imagination and artwork generated through the author's personal journey of becoming a therapist as a model for revealing the inner process, mythological figures, and images that may emerge during the transformative time of training to be a therapist.
