A master's degree is a prerequisite for job placement (Lewis & Quarterman, 2006). Currently, Wilmington College does not have a graduate program in sport management. The purpose of this study was to create a sport management graduate level curriculum at Wilmington College. The graduate curriculum will meet the Commission on Sports Management Accreditation's (COSMA) principles, standards, and outcomes, as well as meet the needs of hiring personnel for entry-level job placement. The subjects of the study are employed in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. The survey was created by the researcher through identification of concepts and prior review of literature. A 5-point Likert scale was used, and values were assigned to the responses of questions. The research questions that the aforementioned survey will answer are, what elements of sport management graduate level curriculums are most and least essential? Descriptive statistics were reported for each item, including mean and standard deviation. Ultimately the constructs with the highest ratings received more focus in the curriculum. Curriculum was based on survey responses and aligned with COSMA principles and standards. The results were used to then construct the graduate sport management coursework for Wilmington College that will produce a well-rounded quality education for students with the potential for greater demand within the marketplace of said students.
