The findings of this study indicate that despite its use in education and other public sectors such as health centers, the church, and at the governmental levels, Kiswahili continues to be challenged by the acceptance and use of the Chimpoto language and other vernacular languages as the predominant language of choice by the Vampoto people. Kiswahili is gaining significant influence among Tanzanians in general throughout the country. Based upon the participant's responses, it is reasonable for one to conclude that the Chimpoto language has an extremely high likelihood of being preserved and transmitted to the younger generations and non-Chimpoto speakers for decades to come.
