The focus of this research is to explore the Millennial generation phenomenon in the workplace. In today's organizational landscape it is no surprise to have three generations working alongside each other -- Baby Boomers, Generation X, and Millennials. Per the US Census Bureau, Millennials outnumber Baby Boomers 83.1 million to 75.4 million respectfully (US Census Bureau, 2015). As the Millennial workforce increases, business leaders are facing various issues concerning retention, succession plans, recruitment, and employee engagement (Espinoza, 2016, Deloitte, 2016,), and their state of readiness for the newest generation. The research question is then, "What is the experience of team dynamics of Millennials in multi-generational team in the financial industry?".

The methodology utilized in the research study is transcendental phenomenology. Data is collected via interviews. Participants identify themselves as Millennial, currently employed in the financial industry, and has experienced working with older generations. Utilizing Dual-Concern Model, Hofstede cultural dimensions, and CMM (Coordinated Management of Meaning) models will provide a multi-faceted analysis of the data. The expected results will provide insight for organizations to be even more ready for the Millennial workforce.
