To accomplish the purpose, 109 faculty questionnaires were distributed with a 78% response rate. A correlational research design was used with this study. Faculty who were innovators demonstrated more favorable attitudes toward the use of instructional media than noninnovators. Faculty who had in-service training demonstrated more favorable attitudes toward the use of instructional media than those had no in-service training. No significant correlation existed: (a) between faculty attitudes and faculty perceived barriers, and (b) between faculty innovativeness and faculty perceived barriers. No significant relationship existed between the demographic variables of teaching experience and educational level and either faculty attitudes and faculty perceived barriers on faculty innovativeness. No significant relationship existed between the demographic variable of in-service training and either faculty perceived barriers or faculty innovativeness.

Recommendations for future research were to investigate the impact of cultural differences on instructional media usage, to replicate the study with a different population, and to clarify relationships between faculty innovativeness and the other related variables.
