In this increasingly globalized world, giants of emerging market nations such as China and India are seriously considering revamping their art market structures, as well as the rules and regulations that govern them. As one of those countries in the developing region that receives the impact of globalization, particularly due to the after-effects of the soaring prices of artworks in China, Indonesia also needs to begin looking at the preparedness of the infrastructural and regulatory elements within its own art market. While there are some elements within the art market infrastructure and among its regulatory devices that do require significant enhancements, there are some present qualities within the art market structure that need to be retained.
